Experience and Awards

Alex has extensive experience in production, having worked on over 25 narrative short films in every department. In college, Alex ran Elon University's film production company, Cinelon, as the executive producer for a year. She succeeded in funding over 12 narrative projects in this role, as well as programming a university-wide film festival showcasing award winning work. Alex's BFA Thesis film was given the Award of Excellence at the Broadcast Education Association Festival of Media Arts, and received a Finalist title for Best Student Director in the New York International Film Awards.  Her recent script, Duck Skin, was given two 8+ evaluations on The Black List, making it a Black List Recommended project.

Alex has completed two production internships- one for a media and production company and another for a comedy game show. After her first internship, Alex was offered a part time position as a remote production assistant in which she helped with various producing tasks for a SAG Micro Budget feature film, including casting, building shooting schedules, facilitating set building, location research, and permitting.

She recently worked as a summer development intern for Esme Grace Media, where she completed detailed script coverage and delivered creative feedback on projects.

​

Alex has received numerous accolades for her dedication to the film industry, including the Outstanding Senior in Cinema and Television Arts Award, Bridging the Dream Scholarship semifinalist position, and Bond fellowship. 

​

She now studies at the world renowned American Film Institute Conservatory in Los Angeles and is on track to receive a Masters of Fine Arts in Screenwriting in 2026. In her time at AFI, Alex has written 3 produced short films, two original feature screenplays, a television pilot, a spec for HBO's The Last of Us, and a short thesis film currently in production.
